Guts'n Puck Hockey Tournament

Sponsorship Packages

Dear Sir/Madame:

As you can tell by its name, the Guts ‘n’ Pucks Hockey Tournament isn’t your typical tournament. Yes, players from across the GTA create teams and compete against each other, but they’re actually all working together towards a common goal - to raise money to find the cures for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

There are over 200,000 Canadians suffering from IBD with either Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. That is one in every 160 Canadians, most of whom are diagnosed before they reach the age of 30. In fact, IBD is approximately three times more common than multiple sclerosis and Canada has one of the most prevalent rates of IBD in the world.

To date, the CCFC has invested over $65 million in IBD research. We are Canada’s largest funder of IBD research and rank among the top global funders of such research. This dedication to the support of research makes CCFC a world leader and has led to many breakthrough discoveries.

Now in its 24th successful year, the Guts ‘n’ Pucks Hockey Tournament will be taking place in April 2011 at Canlan Ice Sports in Oakville to raise even more money for cure-directed research. Given your generous history of community support, we invite you to assist us in keeping the game, and hope, alive. We have varying levels of sponsorship opportunities available, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

For further information on these options, please contact me at jlee-bearss@ccfc.ca or 416-920-5035 x. 235. Hockey is fun; IBD is not. It is only with your generous support that we can get one step closer to a future without these debilitating diseases. Thank you in advance for your consideration and we look forward to your positive response.

Sincerely,
